At Complete stoves we love Multifuel and Woodburning stoves but here are a few other reasons why:- With an open fire 80% of the heat goes up the chimney. With a stove, around 80% of the heat goes into the room with only 20% of the heat going up the chimney.

Stoves are easy to control and use less fuel than an open fire by only letting air into the stove through the stoves air vents.Stoves are cheaper to run than other fuels such as gas, electric and oil. Wood is the original carbon neutral fuel, it is true that it releases carbon dioxide when its burnt, but the amount given off is the same as was stored by the tree when it was growing. With the clean burn system of some stoves gasses created when wood is burnt are circulated around the stove and burnt off reducing emissions and increasing heat.
